“Style Your Sole Party” with TOMS Shoes!

CAB Coffeehouse is proud to announce the hosting of a Style your Sole Party with TOMS Shoes!

TOMS Shoes is an amazing organization that’s aim is simple: to give children shoes. By buying a pair of TOMS, you also give a pair of shoes to a child in need. One for One. To date, TOMS has donated shoes to children in Africa, South America and the most recent initiative is to give at least 100,000 pairs of shoes to Haiti. TOMS then takes the shoes on “Shoe Drops” and places the shoes on the children’s feet by hand, helping to prevent them from contracting lethal diseases from walking on soil without proper footwear. TOMS Shoes hopes to give 1 million shoes to children by 2012 and you can help be a part of it!

Starting on March 9th-March 23rd at the Student Activities desk or online at Gustavustickets.com, you can order your own pair of plain white canvas TOMS for $35. CAB will be placing a bulk order and the shoes will be available at the Style your Sole party on April 7th. What is a Style your Sole party? The TOMS we order will be a blank canvas, giving you the opportunity to decorate them however you want with paint pens, spray paint, glitter etc which will all be provided. It is a way to come together, express our creativity, listen to some great music and help children around the world.

Then on April 8th along with other communities, campuses and organizations, Gustavus is invited to be a part of One Day Without Shoes. “One Day Without Shoes is an effort to bring attention to the impact a simple pair of shoes can bring to a child’s life. We ask people to go the day, part of the day, or even just a few minutes, barefoot, to experience a life without shoes first-hand, and to help spread awareness.”

This is just one step you can take to impact the world we are living in and change a child’s life. Log on to gustavustickets.com starting on March 9th, join us at the Style your Sole party and walk a day in someone else’s shoes… even if they don’t have any.
