Monday, November 19th was the first meeting for the 2013 CAB J-Term Board. This group is comprised of current Campus Activities Board executives, current CAB committee members, and other students that were nominated for the board based on their potential. Together, the board conducts programming that is engaging and enjoyable for students during the month of January.
Because students spend less time in the classroom, but it isn’t nice enough to hang around outside, we really try to bring a wide variety of things to campus that people maybe wouldn’t have time to attend during the semesters. In years past, we have had Coffeehouse performers, BINGO, tie-dye, mug decorating, cupcake decorating, a 90s Dive, broomball tournaments, trips to see shows in Minneapolis, trips to Mall of America, ‘how-to’ nights including cooking and knitting, movie marathons, and many more!
We also do the advertising and marketing for all of our events. If some experience with publicity is something you are looking for, or already have and want to do more of – this is your chance!

Even if you do not want to spend your time on the board, we are always looking for input from the students to find out how we can make J-Term a more enjoyable experience for the campus. If you have any ideas for events that would could put on during January, please be sure to let us know!
