The Campus Activities Board is excited to announce a new annual event to the Gustavus Community.

GAC Talks is going to be a conference new to Gustavus Adolphus College, shaped around a series of brief, educational, and rewarding presentations from inspiring Gustavus Adolphus College professors, administrators, students and alumni who are driven by their passion to share their outstanding ideas with the Gustavus community.

It’s like TED Talks, but at Gustavus.  Do you know what TED is?

TED (Technology, Education, Design) TALKS is a global set of conferences under the slogan “ideas worth spreading”. TED addresses a wide range of topics within the research and practice of science and culture, often through storytelling. Speakers are given a maximum of 18 minutes to present their ideas in the most innovative and engaging ways they can.

GAC Talks are not intended to be the ordinary classroom lectures. Imagine instead, th

GAC TALKS will be sharing “ideas inspiring action” with the Gustavus community. Our goal is to provide the community with engaging ideas, to inspire them to take action and make a difference.e most engaging people of the Gustavus community all gathered, sharing their best ideas, research, philosophies and findings with the community. Talks will range from as short as five minutes to as long as 15 minutes.

The conference will take place on March 22, 2014 in the Johnson Student Union, Alumni Hall at Gustavus. Please contact if you are interested in receiving more information regarding participation or an application to present at this event.
